Which case should you use?
Sentence case is the default for body text and most online writing: only the first word of a sentence and proper nouns take a capital. Title case capitalises the main words of a headline while leaving small connecting words such as "of", "and" and "the" lowercase, which is what most style guides expect for titles. UPPERCASE suits short labels, acronyms and warnings but is hard to read in long passages. lowercase is common for usernames, hashtags, file names and code. Capitalized Case starts every word with a capital, which some brands and headline styles prefer, and aLtErNaTiNg cAsE is the mocking "SpongeBob" style used in memes.
