Privacy Policy
Your text and files stay in your browser. This page explains everything else we collect and why.

Who we are
ToolsWish ("we", "us") operates this website, a collection of free online tools for text, numbers, images and PDFs. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. You can contact us at info@toolswish.com or through the contact page.
The short version
- The text, numbers and files you put into a tool are processed by JavaScript in your own browser. They are never sent to, stored on or read by our servers.
- We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses or payment details unless you email us.
- Like most websites we keep standard server logs, may use analytics, and show advertising that uses cookies. Details and opt-outs are below.
Information you enter into the tools
Every converter, calculator, generator and file tool runs locally on your device. Nothing you type, paste or upload leaves your browser, and closing the tab removes it. The online notepad saves your notes only in your browser's local storage, which we cannot access.
Information collected automatically
Our web server records technical details of each request: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages you visit and the time of the visit. These logs help us keep the site secure, fix errors and understand which tools are popular. They are kept for a limited period and are not combined with other data to identify you.
Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries. Essential storage remembers your light or dark theme choice and whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Analytics cookies, where enabled, help us measure traffic in aggregate. Advertising cookies are set by our advertising partners as described below. You can read more and learn how to manage them in our cookie policy.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements, which is how we keep every tool free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised ads are served, and can change their choice at any time through the link in the footer or by clearing their cookies. Google's own privacy practices are described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics or Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from and which devices they use. IP addresses are anonymised where the service supports it. Analytics never receives the content you enter into tools.
Legal bases and your rights
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process server logs and essential storage on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website, and we process analytics and advertising cookies on the basis of your consent. You have the right to access, correct or erase personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests can be answered immediately. Email us and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
California and other US privacy laws
We do not sell personal information for money. The use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under the CCPA/CPRA; you can opt out through the consent message where shown, the Google Ads Settings link above, or by enabling the Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honour where technically possible.
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 where that is the local age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security and retention
The site is served over HTTPS. Server logs are rotated and deleted automatically after a limited period. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation.
Third-party links
Pages may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will be highlighted on this page.
